Singing Our Lives

The Singing Our Lives concert in June 2022 marked the 6th year of this remarkable project which Thames Opera Company has been proud to be part of from the start (as the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus).
Singing Our Lives "brings people together across difference to form bonds of friendship, community and support and to make amazing new music together." (SOL Programme, 2022)

PORT OF TILBURY
COMMUNITY OPEN DAY
2022
We were proud to sing at the Port of Tilbury Open Day and Carnival on 25th June 2022. We've sung at the Port of Tilbury before, performing concerts there and singing at the Windrush 70 Celebrations there in 2018 (as ROHTCC), and we consider it one of our 'home ground' performance spaces.

COMPOSITION WORKSHOP
for SINGING OUR LIVES 2022
On Saturday 23rd April 2022 members of TOC joined the Singing our Lives composing workshop at St Luke’s Church. In an exciting and creative day, they worked with international artists, other choirs and professional musicians and singers to create a new composition - Under the Same Sun.
